On the way to San Jose

Jan. 12
A woman's luggage is on the way to San Jose... California. She is in San Jose... Costa Rica. That woman is not me. Thank God. Apparently that happens fairly frequently.

I made! And with all of my belongings! Not gonna lie. I was a little terrified. All alone. In a new country. With my rusty dusty Spanish. But I made it through customs (even had a nice little conversacion en espanol with the worker, who I'm pretty sure could sense my fear and was trying to make me feel better). I got exchange currency and got a taxi all by myself. Y en espanol! I know. I'm a
badass.

Anyway, now I'm in this gorgeous gorgeous hotel called the Hotel Don Carlos in San Jose waiting to meet my classmates. I hope they're awesome.

In the meantime I'm gonna to go try and wash 14 hours of travel off.

So you think you can blog

Jan. 10

Okay. I know, I know. Having a blog to tell the world about your awesome times in foreign countries is not only terribly cliche, but also fairly irritating for those who don't really give a shit and are constantly invited to read them while chillin' at home waiting for the weekend. A wonderful shirt of one Blanca Gutierrez said it best, "No one cares about your blog." Trust, I've been there and totally understand if you say "F-you!" to this blog and continue Stumbling.

But if you're bored and want to read some anecdotes about Costa Rica from a person who can promise you nothing by way of frequency, grammatical correctness, or appropriate language, be my guest. All I can guarantee is honesty and maybe a few laughs. Join me? Or continue watching Youtube videos with cats doing strange and adorable things. Whatever floats your boat.
